I founded Elegant Cuizines in 2016 because I truly love creating unique, healthy and tasty food. I also had a full-time job at that time, but Elegant Cuizines was unlike my full-time job - it gave me a sense of purpose.
I'm often asked where I attended culinary school, and my response has always been, "I was created for this, so God purposed it in me". As a kid growing up in Liberia, West Africa with limited access to toys, I would use my grandmother's small pots to play chef. My passion for cooking started as early as 3-years-old, but I truly tapped into it during my undergraduate years in college.
I believe that in life we are all given a purpose, and we must walk in that purpose with an open mind to experience true happiness. I believe that you are truly walking with God when you walk in your purpose. I want to leave this earth knowing that I used every gift that God placed in me. I embarked on some gifts afraid, and others looking crazy, but I did it. I can create food without second-guessing what I am creating, because of my foundation in God. I am always in a teachable mindset, because I have a desire to learn and continue to create amazing food art.
I truly enjoy our personal chef experience, it gives me an opportunity to get to know our clients on a different level. Meal prep allows me to be a part of your busy work week, and Elegant Cuizines Restaurant is preparing us for what’s next.
